As a little girl growing up in the Chicago area, I would spend summers with my Nana and Papa in Ohio. They lived in a little white house at 482 Ewing Road. Their house reminded me of a little white cottage, and I adored my grandparents! The moments that hold a special place in my heart are often brought back through scents that spark lovely memories. Bath-time using Ivory Soap or fresh dried cotton sheets that were hung on the clothesline to dry in the summer sun are just a few of those scents. Evergreen trees, toast in the toaster and coffee percolating in the pot are all smells that hearken back to those wonderful summers I spent with my grandparents.
One morning, during my quiet time, I was asking for an answer to a prayer and God gave me this wonderful thought about Cottage 482. Providing light and warmth in a world that so desperately needs it and to honor people who hold such a special place in my heart was something that made my heart soar! And so…Cottage 482 was born! My hope and my prayer are that you will burn one of these candles when you are with people you love and make memories that will last a lifetime. The average burn time for an 8 oz. candle is approximately 40-50 hours.
The average burn time for a 10 ounce glass candle jar is approx. 75 hours.
The average burn time for a 16 oz. candle is approximately 90 hours
Bread Bowl candles burn time varies due to size but will burn from approximately 65 to over 100 hours
Allergy friendly alternative to petroleum-based paraffin candles. Longer lasting - Soy wax will burn cooler which equals a longer lasting candle. As much as 30-50% longer than a paraffin candle.
Our candles are poured in small batches of 8 or less candles to insure high quality fragrance and quality control.
